Norway's seafood industry has experienced exponential growth in recent months, with salmon exports reaching unprecedented levels. In July 2023, Norway exported an astonishing 95,620 tonnes of salmon, valued at an incredible NOK 96 billion 735 million. This remarkable achievement represents a significant increase compared to the previous month, when Norway exported 103,100 tonnes of salmon worth NOK 69 billion 660 million.

Exceptional Performance in Third Quarter

The impressive performance of Norway's salmon exports continued throughout the third quarter of 2023. From July to September, the value of Norwegian salmon exports skyrocketed by NOK 31 billion, reaching a total value of NOK 23 billion during this period.

Salmon remains the most valuable species in Norwegian seafood exports, accounting for a significant portion of the industry's total earnings. In 2021, salmon exports alone generated an astounding NOK 96 billion 860 million for Norway.
