Brian Niccol to leave Chipotle for Starbucks CEO position

Starbucks has named Brian Niccol, the current CEO of Chipotle, as its new chief executive officer. Niccol will take over the position on September 1st, replacing Laxman Narasimhan, who is stepping down after just two years in the role.
Niccol has been credited with turning around Chipotle's business since taking over as CEO in 2018. He has overseen a period of strong growth for the company, with revenue and profits both rising significantly. Starbucks has been struggling with fading sales and disgruntled customers in recent years, and Niccol will be tasked with turning around the company's fortunes.
Niccol is a fast-food industry veteran who has also worked at Yum Brands and Taco Bell. He is known for his focus on operational efficiency and customer service, and he is expected to bring these skills to Starbucks.
